Mark Terpstra has over 7 years of experience in the commercial building industry with a focus on building design, automation, and energy use.
Mark is currently with Alberta Infrastructure in the Facility Planning and Architecture group in the role of Senior Building Energy Engineer. Mark has significant experience in commercial building energy audits, and retro-commissioning. Additionally, Mark brings experience from the building automation field to the assessments and upgrade design and management.
Mark has a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Energy and Environment. He is a Certified Energy Manager and has LEED AP O+M certification.

Joshua Ulliac M. Eng., EMIT
Joshua Ulliac works as a consultant throughout North America providing electrical and mechanical design solutions and construction support for industrial facilities. He has worked on industrial control systems, facility emergency system design, power distribution & protection, and building management systems.
Josh completed a Masters degree in Energy Systems in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta, with a focus on renewable energy systems, power system distribution and protection, and energy management and auditing. Josh also completed a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
Babar Moghal has over 11 years’ global experience enabling companies to streamline and optimize the way energy is consumed and conserved.
Over the past decade Babar has had the privilege to represent leaders in Power Transmission, Distribution and Energy Management including Siemens, Schneider Electric and Finning Canada, the largest Caterpillar Dealer in Canada. Babar’s energy management experience spans Oil & Gas, Large Industrial, Commercial, Residential and Critical Power consumers.
Babar has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University; is a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA and a Certified Energy Manager with AEE. As President of AEE Alberta Chapter, Babar is committed to serve as a voice for sustainable energy development while balancing environmental and social responsibility.
Mike Otto, P.Eng., CEM, LEED AP O+M
Mike Otto is a mechanical engineer with focus in the building energy efficiency industry. He is a Certified Energy Manager and LEED Accredited Professional with O+M specialization.
Mike is the Operations Manager of 3D Energy, a building energy engineering, auditing, certification, and code-compliance firm based in Sherwood Park. Prior to this, Mike was the Energy Manager with Yukon Government’s Property Management Division, and was responsible for managing energy use in about 600 government buildings.
